The hotel rooms were quite spacious with big windows and clean, located at the central of town. However, there was a terrible smell from the drains, which made the entrance always smelly. The service was very helpful and friendly, with aspirations of a four-star boutique hotel. The location was great, within walking distance to local shops and restaurants, and easy access to transportation. The dining options were okay, offering a mix of local and western food. Overall, a convenient and clean place to stay in Sandakan.

I was upgraded to one of the newly done up sea-facing rooms, which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is conveniently located near shops and restaurants, making it easy to access amenities. The dining options were a bit limited to local food, but the overall service was attentive and helpful.

The hotel is as central as you can desire, close to the Harbour Mall, Central market, and numerous restaurants. However, the surrounding area of Sandakan town is not the most appealing.
